The final programme of the masterclasses will be available on the congress website by 18 October 2023.

Masterclass 1

Corneal Masterclass

We have exciting corneal masterclasses to look forward to. Prof Hafezi from Switzerland will teach us about what is new in crosslinking and keratoconic biomechanics, with a panel discussion on the nuances of current crosslinking concepts. The next part of the masterclass will be aimed at shifting from PK surgery to EK surgery. This should be seen as a precursor for the corneal wetlab, but not an absolute prerequisite. Lions World Vision Institute will run the corneal wetlab during the main programme where surgeons will have the opportunity to perform a DMEK on human tissue. We could potentially offer a DSAEK version of this on special request and enough interest.
